Terms of service

The terms covering use of SENDCo View and our website by your school. The Data Processing Agreement is a separate document — these terms sit alongside it.

Last updated: 30 April 2026 · Version 1.0

These terms apply to the SENDCo View product and the myschoolview.co.uk website. They are not a substitute for the Data Processing Agreement, which governs the school-as-controller / MSV-as-processor relationship.

1. Who we are

These terms are between you (the school or organisation using SENDCo View) and My School View Ltd (“we”, “us”, “our”), a company registered in England and Wales (company number 17097860, registered office 71-75 Shelton Street, London WC2H 9JQ).

By using SENDCo View or our website, you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, you can't use the service.

2. The service

SENDCo View is a SaaS platform for UK schools handling SEND data. It includes:

  • The five-section ISP builder
  • Termly APDR review prompts
  • The parent portal for co-production
  • Costed intervention logging
  • EHCP evidence pack generation
  • MIS data integration via Wonde
  • Field-level permissions and audit trail

The full feature list is on our website at myschoolview.co.uk/sendco-view.

We may add, remove or change features over time. For material reductions, we'll give you at least 30 days' notice.

3. Eligibility

SENDCo View is for:

  • UK state schools and academies
  • UK independent schools
  • Multi-Academy Trusts and other school groups
  • Local authority SEND teams (with separate terms)

We don't provide the service to organisations outside the UK or to non-school organisations without specific agreement.

To use SENDCo View, you need:

  • A valid UK MIS (SIMS, Arbor, Bromcom, iSAMS, or another supported system)
  • A Wonde account (or willingness to set one up)
  • An authorised individual at your school to be the named account holder

4. Founding school terms

The founding school programme is open to the first 10 schools to apply and be accepted.

The offer:

  • £599 one-off payment, paid before access begins
  • Lifetime access to SENDCo View at the school named on the application
  • All future product updates included
  • Direct email access to the founders
  • Monthly product calls
  • A vote on what we build next

Lifetime access means:

  • For as long as the school exists in its current form, with no annual fee
  • For the named school only — can't be transferred to another school in the same trust
  • Subject to fair use (not unlimited pupils across multiple sites)
  • Subject to these terms remaining in force

What founding schools agree to in return:

  • Provide feedback during onboarding (1 hour at start, 1 hour after a month, 1 hour after a term)
  • Allow MSV to mention the school as a founding school in marketing (only if the school agrees in writing — opt-in, not default)
  • Consider a short case study after six months of use (only if the platform has been useful to the school)

Refunds for founding schools:

  • Full refund if requested within 30 days of first MIS sync
  • After 30 days, the lifetime fee is non-refundable but the lifetime access remains

5. Standard plan terms

For schools joining after the founding cohort:

  • Standard plans launch September 2026
  • Pricing will be published before launch
  • Contracts will be annual or multi-year
  • Auto-renewal with 30-day cancellation notice
  • 30-day pilot period included with first contract

6. Acceptable use

When using SENDCo View, you agree not to:

  • Upload illegal content or content that violates anyone's rights
  • Use the service for any purpose other than SEND administration in your school
  • Attempt to access data belonging to other schools or other accounts
  • Reverse-engineer the platform, scrape it, or automate access in ways we haven't approved
  • Resell access to anyone else
  • Use the service to harass, defame or harm any individual
  • Bypass our security controls or the field-level permissions

We reserve the right to suspend access if these terms are breached, with a reasonable opportunity to remedy where appropriate.

7. Your data, our data

Your data (the school's data):

  • Pupil data, parent data, staff data, intervention records, ISPs, EHCPs and similar are owned by the school
  • We process this data on the school's behalf as a data processor — see the DPA for full terms
  • We don't use this data for any purpose other than providing the service
  • We never use this data to train AI models or for any third-party analytics

Our data (the platform's data):

  • The SENDCo View software, design, code, branding and content are owned by My School View Ltd
  • These are licensed to you for use under these terms — not sold
  • You can use screenshots of the product (with appropriate context) for internal training and procurement, but not to compete with us or claim ownership
  • We retain the right to make aggregated, fully anonymised statistical analysis of platform usage (for example, “average school has 75 ISPs” — never identifiable) for product improvement

8. Confidentiality

We treat school data as confidential. Our staff are bound by confidentiality clauses in their employment contracts. Sub-processors are bound by equivalent confidentiality terms in their contracts with us.

You agree to treat confidential information about the platform (architecture, security details, internal documentation) as confidential too — particularly if you receive any of it during procurement or onboarding.

9. Service availability

We aim for 99.9% uptime, measured monthly. Planned maintenance is announced at least 48 hours in advance and is generally outside school hours.

If we materially fail to meet the uptime target, founding schools and standard customers can request a service credit (calculated against the annual fee on a pro-rata basis). Founding schools, having paid a one-off fee, receive credits as additional service rather than refunds.

We can't guarantee 100% uptime. The service may be temporarily unavailable due to maintenance, third-party outages (Vercel, Wonde, MIS providers), or events beyond our control.

10. Pricing and payment

For founding schools, the £599 fee is paid before access begins.

For standard plans (from September 2026), we'll invoice annually in advance. Payment is due within 30 days. Unpaid invoices may result in suspension of access after a reasonable warning period.

VAT applies where required.

11. Termination

You can terminate:

  • Founding schools can terminate at any time. They keep their data export but lose access to the platform.
  • Standard plan customers can terminate with 30 days' notice for the next renewal.

We can terminate:

  • For breach of these terms, with reasonable notice and an opportunity to remedy
  • For non-payment, with reasonable notice
  • For our convenience, with at least 12 months' notice (we don't anticipate this, but it's standard for SaaS)

On termination:

  • You receive a full data export in a machine-readable format
  • We retain your data in read-only form for 90 days, in case you change your mind
  • After 90 days, your data is deleted from our active systems (not from backups, which roll out within 30 more days)
  • Any outstanding balance becomes immediately due

If My School View Ltd ceases trading, customers receive a full data export and at least 90 days' read-only access before any closure of the platform. We carry insurance to support this commitment.

12. Liability

Our liability is capped at the fees paid by you in the 12 months preceding the event giving rise to the claim. For founding schools who paid a one-off fee, this is capped at £599.

We are not liable for:

  • Indirect, consequential or special losses
  • Loss of profits, business, goodwill, or anticipated savings
  • Loss of data caused by your own actions or by third parties (we maintain backups but you also need to take reasonable care)
  • Failures of third-party services (Wonde, MIS providers, etc.)

We are not seeking to limit liability for:

  • Death or personal injury caused by our negligence
  • Fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation
  • Anything that can't be limited under English law

13. Indemnities

You indemnify us against any claim arising from:

  • Your breach of these terms
  • Your unlawful use of the service
  • Any third-party claim relating to data you've uploaded that we couldn't reasonably have known was problematic

We indemnify you against any claim that the SENDCo View platform itself infringes third-party intellectual property rights, provided you tell us promptly and let us handle the defence.

14. Governing law and disputes

These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. The courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction.

If a dispute arises, we'll attempt good-faith negotiation first. If that fails after 30 days, either party can pursue formal legal remedies.

15. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. Material changes will be notified by email at least 30 days before they take effect. Continued use of the service after the change means you accept the new terms.

For founding schools: any material change that would reduce the value of your lifetime access will be honoured under the original terms. The grandfathering principle is part of the founding offer.
